Code Monkeys

I am having a bitch of a time trying to decipher these clues in two different caches.

Clue #1:
refgkfgffgfkgaffaldfagmptyjgptyuyepfrhtrrdgptyupmrqpomy
yjtrryjtrrgobrsmferdydrbrmyuyjtrrfrhtrrdgptyuqpomygobryjtrrdrbrm

Clue #2:
Northing/Y: 1440662.440
Easting/X: 685900.354

I think these are UTM coordinates but I can't make heads or tails of them.  Help?
